Buccal Fat Removal Procedure

The procedure begins with anesthesia. Dr. Ganchi will choose between intravenous sedation and general anesthesia, based on your needs.

Buccal fat removal requires an incision on the inner portion of each cheek. This allows Dr. Ganchi to access the buccal fat pads for removal.

Once the buccal fat pads have been removed, sutures will be placed to close the incisions. You will then be taken to a recovery area to rest until Dr. Ganchi approves you to return home.

Buccal Fat Removal Recovery and Results

You will receive personalized aftercare instructions to guide you through the buccal fat removal recovery process. These instructions explain how to care for the incision sites, how to take any prescribed medications, and when to return to the office for follow-up appointments with Dr. Ganchi.

Dr. Ganchi may recommend that you follow a liquid diet during the initial stage of your recovery. Mouth rinses may also be advised to ensure optimal healing.

  Recently I had reconstructive nose surgery. The process was simple. So far I am 10 days into the recovery phase. It has not been scary or dreadful. Swelling around the eyes reduced after a few days! All that is left is keeping my nose protected!   Greetings all! I recently had labiaplasty done with Dr.Ganchi. I found Dr.Ganchi’s practice long before life gave me time to proceed with this procedure. Therefore I was very happy through each step of the way. After a wonderful consultation in which Dr.Ganchi thoroughly explained what I should expect as far as having the procedure done and the healing process etc. I too am thorough and was left without a question to ask.
