Calf Augmentation: What to Expect

The first step of calf augmentation is to meet with Dr. Ganchi for a consultation. The consultation allows Dr. Ganchi to ensure that calf implants are the best treatment option for you. If you are a candidate, he will then work with you to choose the ideal calf implants for your body.

On the day of your calf implant surgery, anesthesia will be administered. Once it has taken effect, Dr. Ganchi will make a discreet incision behind each knee. The calf implant is then placed over the calf muscle. Once the calf implants are properly positioned, Dr. Ganchi will close and dress the incisions.

Calf Augmentation Recovery

You will be able to return home the same day as your calf enhancement procedure, though you will need someone to drive you. You will need to limit your activities as recommended by Dr. Ganchi in order to promote optimal healing.

You will need to wear compression stockings to support your new calf shape. As the area heals, scar tissue will form around the implant to keep it in place, and you will no longer need the compression stockings.

Follow up appointments are key to the recovery process. These appointments allow Dr. Ganchi to monitor the healing process and gradually approve increased activities as it is safe to do so.

  Recently I had reconstructive nose surgery. The process was simple. So far I am 10 days into the recovery phase. It has not been scary or dreadful. Swelling around the eyes reduced after a few days! All that is left is keeping my nose protected!   Greetings all! I recently had labiaplasty done with Dr.Ganchi. I found Dr.Ganchi’s practice long before life gave me time to proceed with this procedure. Therefore I was very happy through each step of the way. After a wonderful consultation in which Dr.Ganchi thoroughly explained what I should expect as far as having the procedure done and the healing process etc. I too am thorough and was left without a question to ask.
